10am – Arrive at a new wind farm to start work on an Environmental Management System. As well as delivering renewable energy to the market, they want to be sure all environmental impacts of their operations are minimised.
12.30pm – Stop-off at a holiday park for a staff BBQ. They have achieved an independent “green” certification. As the results are announced, the staff feel proud to be part of a business caring about everyone’s future.
2.30pm – Visit a chemical manufacturer’s site to meet with their operations staff and gather information for an action plan to reduce water, energy and waste consumption.
4pm – Back to the city to run the first of a group of supplier workshops for a major retailer. They are pushing sustainability initiatives through their supply chain and have enlisted our help.
6pm – Back to the office to crunch some numbers. Fund managers are investing in more sustainable companies and we’re helping a client communicate environmental performance results for their annual report.
8am – Facilitate an executive management breakfast at a Transport and Logistics company to develop a company-wide sustainability strategy. Free range eggs and organic orange juice fuel our thoughts.
